AOC and Congressman Steven Horsford Rally Nevada Voters Ahead of Critical Midterm Elections

LAS VEGAS, NV — With fewer than 10 days until the midterm elections, Nevada remains a key battleground state as Congressman Steven Horsford and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) rallied voters around the importance of civic participation.

As Democrats express optimism about a potential blue wave, speakers emphasized that election outcomes ultimately depend on voter turnout.

AOC reminded attendees that politics touches every aspect of daily life, challenging the familiar phrase, “We don't do politics.” From healthcare and housing costs to mortgages, education, and water, she emphasized that political decisions shape everyday life.

She also stressed the importance of standing up for communities affected by the Trump administration's policies, particularly immigration enforcement and ICE operations.

Congressman Horsford highlighted the significance of the upcoming election and discussed his work on legislation addressing taxes on tips, an issue affecting Nevada's hospitality workers.

With Election Day approaching, the rally underscored a central message: Democracy depends on participation, and every vote matters.
